Let's say that you take a credit of 60 000 dollars for a period of 30 years in the bank. In the end, you will pay about 90 000. Banks will take about 30 000 just because they have given you their money.  Don't borrow the money if it is not necessary. A tip on how to spend your paycheck

- use50%: for the necessary things: paying for the car, insurance, food, house

- use 30% for paying off your debt and for the retirement plan

-20% is for your holidays, eating out, and the things you like to do in your free time

Important thing is to have emergency savings! 4 out of 10 people don't have savings even for 2 months if they lose their paycheck. You must have enough money for 6 months so if you lose your job you have time to recover and find a new one... you know life is full of surprises.
