This is a topic that is near and dear to my heart, because if I can keep it 100, sometimes I do not feel like doing what I do. That’s the real real and here’s the thing as well. With God, ALL things are possible (Mark 9:23), so if I try to do things in my own strength, I will probably give up. If I keep God at the forefront, I will have supernatural and superhuman strength because God is God like that.
So. I’ve come to encourage and inspire you to keep going even when you don’t feel like it because obedience isn’t built on emotions, it’s built on trust in the one who called you to do what you do: Jesus. When your motivation is lacking, when your confidence feels unstable, and when quitting seems easier than pressing into the Lord, that’s when you have to muster up the strength to call upon the Lord and tell Him how you feel. God often does His deepest work in seasons like this, in the times when excitement and even temporary enjoyment may be low. Your feelings, emotions, and people come and go, but God remains the same. So keep showing up, even though you may feel tired, God meets you with where you are and gives you strength you didn’t know you had. This is your encouragement to move forward one faithful step at a time, trusting that consistency will carry you where feelings never could. “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
