When you're thinking about leading and lagging metrics, really think about what your goals are so that you can identify where they fall into the bigger picture. Then you can make the decisions and adjustments you need in order to achieve that bigger picture.
If you break it down to what you actually have control over, for example, “I need to book three sales calls every single week”…That's manageable!
