Jesus has a question for his followers in the midst of the raging storm.... “Why are you so afraid?” But His question doesn’t require an answer ...because HE is the Answer to all of our fears - seen and unseen.

It may be that we’ve grossly underestimated the magnitude of God’s promise, “I will be with you!” It’s easy to see what we’ve lost or DON’T have, but God reminds us of what we DO have. 

And as it sometimes turns out... the circumstances we’re asking God to change are the very circumstances God is using to change us!

Can we honestly live like “all” is calm and bright? Yes, when we see that peace is found in the realization of what we DO HAVE and not in the disappointment of what we don’t have. When we feel lost in the dark, it could be that we’re actually being sheltered by the shadow of God.
