Nick, Dylan and Jeremiah conclude their conversation about Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
Special Guest: Jeremiah Beaver.
This is the first half of a conversation between Nick, Dylan and special guest Jeremiah Beaver (creator of the YouTube channel Take the Ring) about Twin Peaks' great prequel film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
Special Guest: Jeremiah Beaver.
Nick and Dylan bid farewell to the season by talking about its enigmatic final episode. The boys delve deep into Cooper's psyche, including his upsetting sexual encounter with Diane, his oddly aggressive behavior in the diner, and his retraumatization of Laura. Finally, they reflect generally on the remarkable achievement that was Twin Peaks: The Return.
On this super-sized episode, Nick and Dylan are joined by artist, writer, YouTuber and noted Twin Peaks superfan Gisela Fleischer. The trio discusses the wild, shocking, and emotionally-draining penultimate episode of The Return, wherein the reality of show itself begins to completely unravel.
Special Guest: Gisela Fleischer.
On this episode, Nick and Dylan are joined by Aidan and Lindsay from the Bickering Peaks podcast to discuss a most eventful Part 16. The four reflect on the joyful (if brief) return of Dale Cooper, the pathetic demise of Richard Horne, and Lynch's depiction of violence towards women vis-à-vis the Audrey and Diane storylines.
Special Guests: Aidan and Lindsay.
Nick and Dylan are joined by 25 Years Later founder Andrew Grevas to talk about Part 15 of Twin Peaks: The Return, which continues the season's legendary sprint towards the finish line and marks the end of characters like Dougie, Steven and the Log Lady.
Special Guest: Andrew Grevas.
John Bernardy from 25 Years Later joins Nick and Dylan to discuss Part 14 of Twin Peaks: The Return, where the show's timeline screwiness starts to present itself more clearly than ever.
Special Guest: John Bernardy.
Twin Peaks: The Return enters its transcendent final third with Part 13, an episode the boys feel is a noticeable step up in quality. They are especially enamored with the arm wrestling scene, which showcases David Lynch's absurdist sensibilities better than almost any scene in this season.
Nick and Dylan sift through an episode that contains some of the season's most curious scenes, including Gordon's flirtation with a young French woman, the world's disconcerting reintroduction to Audrey Horne, and the bafflingly irrelevant saga of Abbie, Natalie and Trick.
The boys are very high on part 11 of Twin Peaks: The Return, which they agree is one of the best (and funniest) episodes of the season. Listen as they praise Lynch's comic timing, Jim Belushi's physical gifts and Bobby's dealings with an extremely disgruntled driver.
