Alexandra Born is the very worldly Jivamukti teacher with a German/Rumanian background who made a de tour via Canada and France to finally settle in Sweden! Today she is living the Swedish dream in a red little house with her german husband and two little boys. But the road was not always straight forward and free of obstacles for Alex. Alexandra talks about what it was like to be born in Rumanian communism with a German father, her big interest in languages, and that yoga came into her life as a way to handle she and her husbands suggested infertility. She speaks of her love for the rather trendy Jivamuktiyoga, founded by Sharon Gannon and David Life, and also comments on the misuse of abuse and power that has been discovered within many yogatraditions lately. We speak about parenthood, what she most of all want to give her students, why headstand is not for everyone, and why she does not take anyones shit.
We welcome Alexandra, and we welcome you who are listening!
Alex called after the recording and wanted to add something to the question who she finds inspiring, and she wanted to add Victor Frih, who Alex sometimes collaborates with.
Everybody out there. Show love in all possible ways. Stay cool!
