Why is forgiveness so difficult, especially when someone has genuinely hurt you?

In this episode of 12 AM Latte Podcast, we talk about forgiveness, why we struggle to forgive, and what the Bible actually teaches us about letting go of anger and resentment.

Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

But what does forgiveness really mean?

Does forgiving someone mean what they did was okay? Does it mean you have to trust them again? Do you have to reconcile with someone who hurt you? And what do you do when the person never apologizes?

We also talk about why forgiveness can sometimes feel like weakness, why holding onto anger can continue to hurt us, and why forgiveness can be for yourself as much as it is for the person who hurt you.

Most importantly, we look at forgiveness from a Christian perspective and what it means to extend grace when it's difficult, remembering the forgiveness we have received through Christ.

Why does a good, loving, and all-powerful God allow evil and suffering?
