Undoubtedly, our relationship with Hashem includes a combination of excitement and resonating with the goodness of His Torah and Mitzvot, along with 'pushing ourselves' to carry out our religious obligations, whether we feel like it or not.
After relating to the Rambam's view and weaving in divrei Chazal, Rav Kook sheds light on these two models, and teaches us how the joy of resonating with Hashem and His mitzvot, is a key to being able to get a taste of our reward, a glimpse at olam haba, while still in this world.
