Welcome to this week's episode of 12 ELEVEN. I named this episode "Humble and Kind" because that is who Brad Bell is in my eyes and the eyes of so many. He hasn’t always been this way though. Today, we unravel the compelling story of Brad, once a highly decorated athlete at West Monroe High School. His journey is a testament to the highs and lows of pride and humility. In the limelight of his athletic achievements, Brad's success became entangled with pride and arrogance, shaping his identity solely around his accolades. Yet, beneath the surface, he grappled with feelings of unworthiness and despair. However, amidst his struggles, God was drawing Brad near to himself. God brought Emalee into Brad’s life and her influence led Brad on a path to encounter Jesus Christ. This encounter became the catalyst to a remarkable transformation from pride to humility. Join us as we witness the extraordinary power of faith and redemption, showcasing how God's grace can transcend pride and arrogance, sculpting individuals into vessels of humility and kindness. You won’t want to miss this one!

Welcome to this weeks podcast, where you are introduced to two remarkable young men who embody the spirit of "RAK CHAZAK" - a Hebrew term meaning Strong & Courageous. In a world that often encourages us to keep our struggles hidden, these two individuals defy convention by sharing their journeys with authenticity and vulnerability.
Hailing from West Monroe High School, they're not just star baseball players, but voices of inspiration and resilience. Join us as they bravely dig into the depths of their experiences, revealing the good, the bad, and the ugly, all with the overarching purpose of glorifying God.
Their stories touch on profound themes, from grappling with identity to navigating the weight of false expectations. They'll share insights on handling failures and trials by bringing them to Jesus. They will also discuss the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian community, and discipleship and how those 3 things have completely changed their lives. Whether you're a parent of a teenager or simply seeking inspiration, their words are sure to resonate. So, sit back, listen in, and prepare to be moved.
Today, I am excited to introduce you to a remarkable individual and friend, West Monroe Rebels Pitching Coach, Brent Achord.
In our time together, Brent generously shares his profound journey - a journey marked by battles with identity, struggles with addiction, and ultimately, a powerful transformation illuminated by the Light of Jesus Christ. Brent’s story is not one of immediate transformation, it is more of a story of persistence in the middle of some of his darkest moments in life. Through continued discipleship for over 4 years Brent surrendered his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and would later answer God's call to lead the very same young men he was coaching, in discipleship. Through his experiences, he imparts invaluable lessons, revealing who Jesus is to him and how this revelation guides his every step. Brent's redemption story is nothing short of inspiring. God has used his scars by transforming them into instruments of guidance for these young men, as they navigate their own daily walks with Jesus.
Indeed, Brent's passion for Christ and baseball converge beautifully, embodying a profound form of coaching - one that extends far beyond the game itself. To all the parents tuning in, I urge you to gather your teenage kids around, for this is a message that resonates deeply with both young and old alike. Prepare to be moved, inspired, and challenged as we hear how faith, perseverance, and the transformative power of God intersect on the diamond of life.
Today, I invite you to join me as I sit down with two remarkable individuals, Lydia Walker & Jeff Fitzgerald, who are leaders within the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in our local community. Their journey together is a testament to divine orchestration, as they share how their collaboration was perfectly timed by God. Together, they unveil the incredible ways in which God is actively moving within the Junior Highs, High Schools, and Colleges of Northeast Louisiana. Through their experiences, they shed light on the profound significance of discipleship and offer a glimpse into its transformative power in the lives of students. Lydia and Jeff help simplify what making disciples actually looks like. Yes technically, FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes….BUT the A actually means ALL. Jesus wants ALL students from every school to come and see! Trust me you will be encouraged by hitting play!
As Baseball season gets into full swing, I welcome you to today's episode “Discipleship on the Diamond.” We will be diving into the deeper aspects of life beyond the game, beyond the statistics, and beyond the wins and losses. Today, I have the privilege of sitting down with two extraordinary individuals, Kam Partridge and Cam Barlow, both former and current pitchers for the ULM Warhawks, respectively. But today, they're here to share a story that transcends the confines of the baseball diamond. The story of finding purpose outside the lines of Baseball. These 2 young men exemplify the meaning of what true Disciplship looks like. If you have a child in sports, I would highly encourage you to listen to this with him or her. They will be encouraged just as I was. These 2 knock it out of the park! You do not want to miss it!
