In this episode: Emma Hames, a Benzo surviver, songwriter, musician, artist and producer of the documentary film "Playing With Life" (currently in pre-preduction). At age 23 Emma had contracted an unknown virus and suffered limited long capacity and trouble breathing normally. Emma began developing severe anxiety and panic attacks. After the diagnosis of her limited long capacity, she was treated with steroids and Bromazepam (Lexomil). At some point, Emma decided to quit the drug cold turkey. Not even aware she was prescribed a Benzodiazepine in the first place, Emma was thrown into a horrendous acute Benzowithdrawal, without anyone, including herself, knowing what was happening to her. After the so manieth ambulance she was in, a nurse informed her she was in Benzo withdrawal and that there was no cure. Emma was disabled for a very long time, but in her years towards recovery she connected to her creativity.
