#12. Stories From Sen. How Travel Has Led Him To Conservation
Dialling in from the Philippines, Sen is a free spirited guy on a mission to save our environment and have fun while doing it. He is a mad keen traveller that was inspired by a family trip to Palawan, but wanted to go and let his hair down and enjoy a few Red Horse beers with friends, so he did! On that journey of exploring the world he discovered its true beauty and through his involvement with nonprofit organisations developed a passion to save the planet.
Throughout our chat, Sen claims he has seen the best of the best sunset, with all the colours, on the beautiful island of Boracay and he shares how the island has changed after being closed for too much pollution and now it feels like it did in the 70s. And they're even seeing whale sharks!
We talk about sandos and how to travel light. What is a sando? A singlet!
He reminisces on all the "hot people" at Bondi beach and how he fell in love with Australia.
I ask him about the Philippines and if the plastic-free movement has hit its shores yet? Thanks to social media it has!
To finish off our chat, Sen drops the mic when he answers the ultimate Miss Universe question - Don't be selfish about living on this planet. Start with yourself, look around and practise living responsibly. The Earth is only hope. You can never go wrong in saving the world.
