This week I was very inspired by a quote I read online about challenging the concept of the “ideal” body for dance. Today I dive in on why that concept is outdated and how I work with my students to understand that they bring so much to the art of dance purely by being them. I value diversity in every way in my classroom and we need to challenge our preconceived ideas so that we can help dance evolve with our changing world.
