Millions around the world wait at bus stops every single day, heading to school, work, or back home. And for some reason, those bus stops feel safe. The tiny bench covered by the tiny canopy is a piece of sanctuary on an otherwise mammoth and alien road. On one such bus stop in Norway, in the early morning hours of February 3rd 2010, waited a young Pakistani woman, as she had countless mornings in the past. But little did she know, this morning and this bus stop was going to be different. Under that bus stop’s canopy, was going to be the last moment of peace she would ever know. This is the story of that morning, that bus stop, that woman. This is the story of Faiza Ashraf.
