This is week 3 of our series The Gift. Life is full of surprises—unexpected events, sudden changes, and moments that take us off guard. We may be cruising along, thinking we have everything under control, when suddenly, something happens that shakes us. It could be an unplanned challenge, a life-altering decision, or a crisis that we weren’t prepared for. These surprises often leave us feeling anxious, confused, or uncertain. But here’s the comforting truth: While we are surprised by life, God is never surprised. He is sovereign, in control, and His plans are always perfect, even when we don’t understand them. In fact, when life surprises us, it’s an invitation to lean deeper into the unshakable truth of God and His plans. We read over scriptures Matthew 1:18-25 and 1 Corinthians 2:9.
