Reflection, Readings and Prayer for Sea Sunday.

Jesus talks about the fickle people who are happy neither with John the Baptist and his seeming piety or Jesus himself and his seeming wayward ways.   They flung their flute our of their pram exampling to us where expectation and hope collide and we would be far better with one of them.

In the week when Glasgow experienced an usual knife attack in a hotel housing refugees, and the Scottish Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway prepared to digitally welcome a new bishop; the lectionary flung up a Gospel passage about welcome and the psalm was about justice ... well what choice did I have?
