Knowing how to set healthy boundaries takes practice. There are three steps to boundaries. Choose your boundary based on how you want issues to be different in the future. Communicate the boundary with people involved (and potentially, the consequence of the boundary being violated). Step three is enforcing that boundary and whatever consequence you shared before. Think of it in terms of a "No Trespassing" sign. People are more likely to obey signs that show the consequence, boundaries are the same way.
