This game may be the least popular game we've spoken about in this podcast. A remake of the Playstation classic, this unique collaborative effort nonetheless yielded a fantastic gaming experience on the doomed purple console.

A complete original incredibly stylish game which began as a staff development project for Capcom, framed as a console savior it was barely a bleep on many people's radar. We thoroughly enjoyed it though, listen to us reminisce!

One of the best fighting games of the generation if not THE best. SoulCalibur 2 was a deceptively deep fighting game that was also a quiver in the arrow of gamers who were deeply invested in the "console wars" of the era. It gave the GameCube a much needed win, but it was much more than that and it's a great snapshot of the state of gaming in 2003.
