Meet Janet Brandley, a self-sufficient and independent woman from western Canada, who has learned to adapt the hard way, by being placed in situations that forced her to do so. Starting her own business, after a successful academic career in psychology, Janet has constantly foregone monetary gain for her work, in favour of quality, seeing fewer patients per day, instead of the four or five her bosses insisted on. This tactic improved the life of her patients and improved Janet’s character in ways she wasn’t ready to compromise on, and people should aspire to have such convictions.
