Early in our careers we were trying to blend in. We wanted to be considered one of the guys. Now I understand that different is better, it gives perspective and variety. Imagine if the world was all the same! How boring would that be.

A lot of people can sympathize but not a lot of people can empathize.

There is no such thing as balance. I don’t do anything at 50% in life so if I am only giving half, everything is falling apart. Give 100% of your focus to the thing you need to focus on.
