In my exploration about what genuine human connection is, I believe that one of the fundamental components is empathy.  But, what is empathy?  And what makes empathy so complicated?  Feeling someone else’s pain, recognizing it in ourselves, and sympathizing, should be an easy thing if it’s built into our neuro programing since the times of tribal living.
