Joseph Bolton was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island during the twilight of the golden age of French-Canadian culture in New England. Growing up emersed in his mother’s French-Canadian family, Joseph enjoyed hearing the stories told by his grandparents and great aunts of a mysterious and magical place called Québec, otherwise known as “the place we came from.”

After high school, Joseph’s adventurous nature led him to enlist in the U.S. Army and he served in the Army’s airborne forces as a paratrooper jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, much to the worry of his mother.

Although he originally intended to stay in the Army for two years, he was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point, and after graduating in 1989, he decided to make the Army a career. After West Point, Joseph graduated from the Army’s Ranger Training School, a grueling and physically demanding combat leadership course. Over the next 18 years, Joseph served in the army in various positions of growing responsibilities culminating with a combat tour in Afghanistan as one of two Space Operations Officers with the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division.

Since he retired from the Army, Joseph has worked in various project manager roles as a civilian contractor for the U.S. Air Force. While writing Old Grandmother’s Tree, Joseph took a sabbatical from the U.S. Air Force and taught mathematics to young students for a semester at Holy Family Academy in Gardner Massachusetts. He considers it the most fulfilling job he has ever had and hopes to return to teaching full-time in the near future.

Bolton is of French-Canadian, Native American, Spanish, English, and Irish descent, and is profoundly inspired by the stories of his heritage. He lives with his wife in Massachusetts, and, in his free time, enjoys hiking and skiing through Québec and New England landscapes. His favorite places to go for outdoor adventure are the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts and Mont-Orford in Québec. Comedian, improviser, storyteller, actor, writer, musician as featured on Australia's ABC and the United Kingdom's BBC, Steven Morgan is a jack of all trades, but also a master of all of them too.

Living in Utrecht, The Netherlands, via stints in London and Brisbane, Steven has toured and performed in famous comedy clubs and festivals around the world alongside acts such as Stephen Carlin, Damien Power and Mel Buttle.

Since moving to The Netherlands in 2018, he has become a regular on the English-language scene around mainland Europe hosting the comedy night LYFAO in Nijmegen and has performed at festivals such as The Edinburgh Fringe and the Utrecht Comedy Festival. His shows Mystery Box Of Mystery and Placeholder have entertained audiences in multiple countries.

He is a prestigious improviser, and is the former head of learning at Amsterdam's prestigious easylaughs where he created the curriculums for the basic improv and standup comedy courses. He has taught and performed numerous formats and longforms, with appearances at the Amsterdam Improv Festival in both 2024 & 2025. He has also run workshops for numerous corporate clients such as Zoom, Nike & Cargill.

While in Brisbane, he was the organiser of the annual Brisbane fringe comedy festival Bris Funny Fest which featured over 100 shows and also performed in multiple sold-out shows at the curated Brisbane Comedy Festival 2017. He's also a pioneer of immersive theatre, starring in and co-writing the sell-out immersive theatre production Cluedo! The Interactive Game as part of the Anywhere Theatre Festival 2017.

He was a regular guest on ABC Brisbane on shows such as the satirical 'Eat The Week' and 'Hi Fidelity'. He ran his own comedy night 'Comedy Commentary Cinema' where comedians trash talk over bad movie screenings and has guested on a number of podcasts and radio shows. He was a script editor of the sketch comedy Brisburn which featured in the Brisbane Comedy Festival 2018. His stand-up style has been described by the Out Of Order Podcast as "Robin Williams shit when he was high on cocaine, times by three".

His performances are noted for his confident stage presence and intentional lack of self-awareness. His style encapsulates the absurdness of Sam Simmons, the dryness of Stewart Lee and the energy of Chris Farley. He's a versatile performer, he fits well into any line-up whether acting as MC, headliner or opener.

He also acts, with features in the ITV sitcom Professor T and played Edward in the feature-length film Drack. He has also done a number of voiceover role. He featured on the BBC program 'The One Show' performing at a "teenage diary reading night" titled Cringe. He's performed at multiple storytelling and improv event, being picked for the Best Of "So, What's Your Story?" 2017 for his particular tale.

Back in London he fronted the electronic rock act Neon Highwire. The band are best remembered for their bizarre music videos, all of which Steven directed. The band toured the UK, regularly playing club nights in London. Their 2013 debut album Relate was met with critical acclaim.

Steven is known for his awkward yet obsessive nature which embraces the absurd. He entered an EDM remix competition for popular German DJ Boys Noize with an entry that used nothing but sounds made by his voice, receiving the highest number of votes. He created a theme song for the "Kim Jong Il Looking At Things" website and an accompanying video apropos of nothing.

He writes for a number of music websites including The AU Review, DIY Mag and All Things Loud where he has interviewed artists such as Idles, Al Murray and Dan The Automator.
