Today is a quiet, warm morning on January 1, two thousand and twenty-three. I am watching a very beautiful picture of a tropical seascape. Behind me is the pier from which I will go to the island of Samui in an hour. I myself am on a small natural sandy beach. The water in the sea is warm. A young boy and girl have just been swimming in the sea. Another woman of the weaker sex is lying nearby, obviously resting after a sleepless night like mine. Small Thai fishing boats are moored along the shore. You can hear the birds singing, the waves gently lapping against the shore, carrying sand sometimes to the shore, then back to the sea. The sky is slightly overcast, the sun is soft, not burning. On the edge of the beach on the right, there are several palm trees. Behind them is a wooden gazebo for those who want to relax. Idyllic place and heavenly conditions.
