Do you want a man to chase you?
I used to think I did.
It sounded way more fun than me chasing them.
Which I had a tendency to do back in the day, with terrible results.
So I thought that having a man chase me would be very refreshing.
It’s what all the dating books said should be happening.
But the only men who ever chased me were the men I didn’t want.
And I started to become someone I didn’t really like with all the cat and mouse game playing I was doing.
I eventually discovered that chasing is an unhealthy relationship dynamic.
Because real, solid relationships are about honesty and vulnerability, not game playing.
A man who is ready for a healthy relationship will not chase you down.
He wants a woman who actually likes him.
And you want a man who actually likes you.
So I don’t recommend any chasing of any kind.
It’s fine to let a man reach out to you and get the ball rolling, but expecting him to chase you is ineffective.
Instead of trying to get men to chase you, try being honest with yourself and others about what you really want and only dating men who can offer that to you.
Then you’ll have a much better chance at actually getting into the kind of relationship you’re really looking for.
