Mark Dobson is a navy veteran, firefighter and disaster response volunteer.
As a Physical Training Instructor with the Royal Australian Navy, Mark was responsible for the company's morale, physical and mental health aboard HMAS Darwin during two deployments to the Persian Gulf in the first Gulf War of the early 1990s. He later held the same role aboard HMAS Jervis Bay in Somalia as part of the United Nations operation UNOSOM I.
Mark is currently a Station Officer with Fire and Rescue NSW.
Mark volunteers as a Disaster Team Response Manager for Disaster Relief Australia, which unites the skills and experiences of Australian Defence Force veterans with first responders to deploy emergency response teams around the globe rapidly.
