Learning How To Be Old

13. Starting a business after 50

Listen Later

Do you fancy starting a business after 50 or 60 or even older? Forget those ageist stereotypes. It is possible, it's a growing global trend, and support is at hand. Researcher Dr Judith Davey describes the motivation of senior entrepreneurs in Aotearoa New Zealand, and facilitator Alexandra Lutyens from Creative HQ tells us what support they want and need. As a bonus, seven young people tell us what sort of business they would start if they did so in their 50s or older. I learned quite a bit about senior business startups from my contributors and I think you might too.
