Perhaps we're comfortable in our masculinity (I can already hear Rhys' Mum laughing at the prospect), or perhaps we don't even know what the word means (if so, we'll just have to explore it in an episode!)...either way, Rhys and I (Sam) start off this episode with a quasi-romantic sort of exchange; the type that you find in a 'bromance'. Whatever you may think, I can assure you that Rhys is married to Charlotte, not me.
The theme of this episode is the 'Wisdom' genre of the Old Testament, which includes Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon/Songs. During our discussion, we talk about the fact that we found Psalms and Proverbs to be among the most accessible and emotional books of the whole Bible, as well as our growing appreciation of the variety and the practical applicability of the content. Naturally, we agree that we avoided Song of Solomon when we younger, on the basis of it being 'naughty'.
We also respond to a picture - sent in by a listener! (see our Facebook page) - of a forgotten memory that we associated with church youth groups. In 'Grab a Cuppa', Rhys recommends getting green fingers and I present a double dose in the form of the brilliant comedian, Tim Hawkins, and Christopher Nolan's new film, Tenet.
