Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world, it’s heritage listed and its located just off Hervey Bay in beautiful Queensland.  Whales cruise by, turtles chill in the intertidal zones, mangroves grow happily, dingoes roam the beaches and so much more!  My mate Neive gets to call this place home.

She jumps on and talks about the island, how she ended up there and how she feels about being able to share the conservation message to travels that visit the island.

Her tips for the tropical island life include, have warm clothes handy, always carry your sunglasses and don't forget your towel for when you find that perfect spot to lay in the sun.

Nieve tells me how getting out into nature and surrounding herself with likeminded people through university studies and volunteer projects has helped her follow her passion and now live her dream as an eco-ranger on Fraser Island.
