This week Nick and Harv begin with a discussion of what qualifies as a spoiler in light of how the last episode ending. Then, Rei, Eric, and Harv discuss their recent successes in Heroic Battle of Dazar'Alor and how they earned Ahead of the Curve for this tier. Harv has adapted the "Fine, I'll do it myself," mentality for dealing with ill-prepared raid members. Nick, meanwhile, completed the Alliance War Campaign and now has his Ironclad Frostclaw. He also unlocked the Dark Iron Dwarves although he won't play one, and this leads to a recounting of the awkward experience of doing the recent balloon festival in the Valley of the Four Winds in Pandaria.
The gang begins by revisiting the recent topic of Blizzcon tickets, as Blizzcon sold out again this year. Nick is surprised that the Portal Passes sold out, but admits that with a small enough availability, it wouldn't have been too hard for that to happen, and since we don't know just how many were made availalbe, he thinks it was not very many. They talk about the issues with the AXS app, including its excessive permission requests and its allowance for ticket resale. They also talk about Con Before the Storm's kickstarter funding itself within 24 hours, and Nick ponders spending $60 on a shirt.
Blizzard announced they will not be at Gamescom this year. Harv says this means that they are saving everything for Blizzcon, so Blizzcon expectations are going to be huge. Nick points out that Blizzard could easily make an announcement at any time if they really wanted anyway.
Nick also brings up two recent interviews with John Hight, new executive producer for World of Warcraft. Hight talked about trying to eliminate crunch on the WoW team, and also how the roughly 77 day patch schedule for Legion was indeed planned out.
Finally, the gang looks back at episode #32, when Nick had a lengthy anti-Activision rant, back before hating Activision was cool.
