Kris Angelis grew up on a farm in Florida, writing songs and learning to harmonize with her identical twin sister in their treehouse. Her folk/pop/Americana music has won several awards including Best Female artist in the International Acoustic Music Awards and last year she toured to all 50 of the United States and was chosen as part of the Grammy NEXT program. She began 2020 with the release of That Siren, Hope which debuted at #1 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart and #79 on the Billboards Top Current Albums chart as the highest ranked independent release. It explores all the facets of hope, painting it as a mythical siren that draws you in only to leave you drowning, but also as a comfort and a force that keeps you going when you can’t see what’s ahead. It has been getting played on SiriusXM, climbing the Americana radio charts, and is on the first round ballot for the Grammy Awards. The video for the title track was premiered by American Songwriter Magazine.

"I wrote this song while on tour last year to all 50 states which I did to deal with and heal a broken heart. This song is about remembering the good times and then the reasons something didn't work and deciding to not let it haunt you and hold you back like a Ghost because you're still alive and breathing and can do more and find more in your life."
