Today's guest is Melissa Fritz, a person that "does". Not only is she the Creator, Executive Producer, and Host of "Inside Senior Living", she also runs her own media company (ISL Plus Media).
She has used her own personal experience from working inside a senior living center to offer ideas and solutions for anyone that needs to consider this option for themselves or a loved one. With creativity and care, she delivers stories that are helping others.
Her main message shared during this interview was to "simply start having these conversations about care for when people get older." It doesn't need to negative or scary. The proactive dialogue now will help for the future.
The first season is set to premiere on PBS North in November 2024 and distributed for availability on
over 500 PBS stations nationwide in 2025.

Inside Senior Living is a groundbreaking new documentary series co-produced and distributed by PBS
North about how older adults and their caregivers deal with aging and the struggle to remain independent.
Melissa’s career spans over two decades as a strategic marketer, executive director, entrepreneur and sales professional. Before taking on her current role as Executive Producer/Host of INSIDE SENIOR LIVING, she studied Business Administration at The University of Montana Western and Communications at Hamline University along with becoming a certified lifespan wellness coach. Her passion for helping seniors and their families started as a Sales Manager for Brookdale
Senior Living and her own experience being the daughter of a father who had Alzheimer’s Dementia and recently passed away after living in a memory care community.
The idea for creating Inside Senior Living was born after witnessing the isolation of older adults during the Covid-19 pandemic coupled with her search to find quality informative, inspirational and entertaining content to share with caregivers and family members. Her mission is to bring the conversation of aging and senior living choices into mainstream culture.
She resides in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, Stuart, a retired Emergency Physician and their yellow lab, Napa. They have four grown children and two, twin granddaughters.
The first season is set to premiere on PBS North in November 2024 and distributed for availability on
over 500 PBS stations nationwide in 2025.
