This is Heather Hamel's story...

I was 15 years old when I took my first big trip outside of the United States. I went to Egypt and it was a total culture shock. I was not used to seeing people with AK-47s on every corner or kids running around in rags without shoes. It was a very eye-opening experience for me. I realized how privileged I was to have the things that I did. but it also sparked something inside of me that desired to experience more and more of this amazing world! Since then, I've been lucky enough to see many more amazing places. And now through my interior design business I can do my part in bringing the world to life, calling on my past experiences to ensure each space is unique in its own beautiful way.
