“There’s no better feeling than being around people who motivate you to be better,” says Dr. Andrew Fix. This week, he talks about how motivation, accountability, and community play a huge role in both personal and professional growth. Speaking from the Dallas Cowboys training facility, Dr. Fix reflects on a business coaching conference he attended with fellow physical therapists, pointing out how being around people who share your drive can push you to step up your game. To build momentum and a sense of accomplishment for the rest of the day, Dr. Fix also suggests “eating the frog”—tackling your hardest tasks first thing in the morning. His advice: look for communities that will push you to reach your goals and hold you accountable.
