Maddie is a māmā of 2 and serves her community both in person and online with her work as a Postpartum Doula.
Maddie is passionate about the revitalization and remembrance of Indigenous Birthing and Parenting practices particularly of her lineage being Māori and Samoan.
Her infusion of Somatics, Feminine Embodiment and traditional Wellbeing practices give her a holistic lens to the way she serves her community alongside a traditional Postpartum care approach.
Maddie facilitates Breathwork Ceremonies, Mama Blessings and supports a mama and pepi project called Kia Taurima (instagram profile here) that supports mama wellbeing infused with a Te Ao Māori approach In her local community. Creating spaces for Mámá to meet, connect and be.
She also works with teenagers in schools on how to grow resilience using mindfulness, breath and creating strong cultural identity.
Raising her daughter and choosing to speak her native tongue has been the biggest healing for her, and is how this honors the land she lives on and takes care of, and the community she serves.
Maddie believes knowing who we are and where we come from grounds us in how we move and show up in the world.
