Varun Nair is an Indian Visual Development Artist and Director based in France. He graduated from the Gobelins school of Image in Paris and has worked for several companies in the Animation industry including Netflix, Sony pictures animation, Bluesky, etc to name a few. Currently, he is a Co-director and Visual development artist at Illumination.

In this episode we talked about Varun’s journey in India where he painted religious art to how he made connection with French community and then moving to Paris. We also discussed about different practices he does, life drawing, Parisian life, his internship at Blue sky, funny comics he does and more importantly what made him to bring his Indian culture to his work and of course his latest experience at THU event.
