In Episode 14 of The Steak Lad Experience, I sat down with the great Michael Weldon. 

Michael competed in the 2011 MasterChef series at the age of 25 and made it all the the way to the Top 2. The 2011 series of MasterChef attracted a staggering audience of 2.74 million viewers, making it the third most viewed episode of any Australian television series that year. 

During our discussion, we spoke about his early childhood memories in the kitchen, the development of his passion for cooking, learnings from the MasterChef experience, what he is up to today and much more. 

Michael was an absolute beast in the ice bath and was kind enough to supply the beautiful steak we ate today for which I was very grateful. 

This man is a true gem, I get a lot out of hearing people talk about their passions and trust that anyone listening will feel the same!
