On March 22, 1999, a 911 operator received a call from an elderly couple reporting that a woman, naked and covered in blood, had entered their home frantically looking for help. This woman was Cynthia Vigil, who had just escaped three days' captivity, during which she was beaten, raped, and sexually tortured by a man named Dave and his girlfriend Cindy.

Cynthia Vigil's escape from her captors led to the arrest of David Parker Ray and Cindy Hendy and uncovered what may be one of the most disturbing crimes we've covered on this podcast to date.
