In this episode, Savannah joins Julie to read an excerpt from a NEW YORK TIMES article "Always Well Groomed" by Rhona Garelick, an entry that raises questions about what drives the ideals of socially acceptable beauty. From industry determinants to cultural, but fleeting, 'It' standards, from publications and advertisements pushing an agenda of beauty that is not only nearly unattainable but airbrushed and PhotoShop-ed to a degree that no human could very achieve by natural means. And, when it comes to the male-to-female experience, how much harder does society make it and how hard do we make it for ourselves to chase and achieve this beauty standard.

SAVANNAH HAUK is the author of “Living with Crossdressing: Defining a New Normal” and “Living with Crossdressing: Discovering your True Identity“. While both focus on the male-to-female (mtf) crossdresser, “Defining a New Normal” delves into crossdressing and relationships and “Discovering Your True Identity” looks at the individual crossdressing journey. Her latest achievements are two TEDx Talks, one entitled "Demystifying the Crossdressing Experience" and the other "13 Milliseconds: First Impressions of Gender Expression".
