Mark Evanier began his professional writing career one week after his high school graduation, and it's still going strong more than half a century later. 

He is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable and prolific chroniclers of comics history, both on his own blog, News From ME, and in the definitive Jack Kirby biography, Kirby: King of Comics. He also manages the legacy of Walt Kelly's Pogo in Fantagraphics' The Complete Syndicated Comics Strips collections.
