During the 2019 Indy 500, DARPA layed out an array of advanced sensors providing real time security and threat awareness. This marks the first time DARPA's SIGMA+ network integrated radiological and chemical sensors with biological threat sensors from the Department of Homeland Security's Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction office.
