"The Ready for Next Cities Program!"

Today's #PoisedforExit guest featured Guillermo Mazier, an advisor for the Ready for Next Cities Program that provides transition planning training for cities and communities to strategically support small business health in those areas!  Guillermo spends a great deal of time working collaboratively with Chambers of Commerce. Small Business Development Centers (SBDC's) and Economic Development Agencies across the country, to plan and provide educational resources for the businesses and owners who operate and employ people in their municipalities. As we all know, the effects of a good or poor exit are far reaching. When a business has no transition plan, the employees and the communities they serve are in jeopardy of losing jobs and supporting families.

Guillermo has a passion for communities and knows first hand from his long standing work with Economic Development how good or poor transitions impact the future of these communities. Ready for Next Cities program is focused on the education of the owners in these communities from a self paced, macro level at first, followed by optional deeper dive education, advisory services and workshops. The goal is for the businesses to exit well, so the communities are not negatively impacted by shutdowns.  Listen to the episode to learn more!
