How do you create a soundtrack to a moment?

Something that adds rather than takes something away?

Sunset is always such a special moment on Ibiza.

People have made whole careers out of soundtracking it on the island, including Jose Padilla, who is sadly no longer with us.

He was managed once upon a time by todays guest, DJ and music lover, Pete Gooding who was a super fan and has many magic memories of the man himself which he shares with us today.

Pete has been off and off the island for the best part of three decades dipping in and out of radio presenting and DJing, he now works and manages a range of artists full time.   Pete has been a resident DJ at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza since the summer of 1996, is regularly seen laying it down for sunset at Hostal La torre and has compiled many of the Cafe Mambo compilation series with Universal Records.

He is also one half of the selection team behind the Hostal La Torre compilation series, of which there has only been four to date, but have a fond place in our hearts.
