狼吞虎咽

wolf down; wolf down the meal; wolf the meal down

狼，means wolf, 吞 means to swallow large amounts of food or drink quickly. 虎 means tiger and 咽 the act of swallowing food or drink.

 For example:

例1.

我 晚上 锻炼 之后 特别饿，所以 吃饭 总是 狼吞虎咽 的。

wǒ wǎn shàng duàn liàn zhī hòu tè bié è , suǒ yǐ chī fàn zǒng shì láng tūn hǔ yàn de .

I'm so hungry after doing exercise in the evening that I always wolf down my dinner.

例2.

他 狼吞 虎咽 地 吃完 早餐，然后 飞快地 向 学校 跑去。

tā láng tūn hǔ yàn dì chī wán zǎo cān , rán hòu fēi kuài dì xiàng xué xiào pǎo qù .

He wolfed his breakfast down as fast as he could and then quickly ran to school.
