When I was twenty years old, I had difficulty reading Charlotte's Web. For the longest time I thought I was stupid for not being able to comprehend what I read. Later I realized the issues with reading comprehension, cognition, critical thinking and learning were a result of trauma and PTSD. Twenty years later, I am working on my second Masters degree. Learning difficulties aren't permanent. And it isn't stupidity, it's an injury to the mind and brain as a result of trauma. Listen to this podcast to learn how trauma and PTSD affects learning throughout one's life whether it's in school or the workplace.
