In this episode of the Emajin Podcast: Beyond the 19th, we catch up with Sam Squires, award-winning sports journalist, TV presenter, Author and founder of Sportette.
We learn from Sam, the power of story telling that enables inclusion. A country girl, Sam quickly developed a love for sport including golf, found her passion in becoming a sports journalist providing the perfect platform to be part of and promoting women in sport.
In 2014, Sam founded Sportette to provide an avenue to tell the incredible stories of our female athletes and it grew to be a leading think tank on Women's Sports.
In 2020 Sam released her debut children's novel "Princesses Wear Sneakers". A heartwarming tale of a princess's passionate pursuit of her sporting dreams. So excited to hear Sam's has a new children's novel "Running with Wings" which is due out in May 2024.
While juggling her media commitments and keynote speaking engagements, Sam is also a Women's Professional Golfers Association (WPGA) Board Director.
It was very impactful to hear Sam share the power of being yourself, being inclusive, being kind and finding your passion to shout from the roof tops and stay true to what drives.
