As we focus on mental and emotional self-care for the week, she addresses a question she is often asked: How can we practice self-care without spending money? This episode is truly one of the best teaching tools of the year, focusing on simple yet powerful ways to nurture your well-being. One effective strategy is journaling. By moving those persistent, annoying thoughts from the back of your mind onto paper, you can clear your system and gain perspective. Another restorative practice is taking a mindful walk through your neighborhood. I encourage you to look intently at the homes around you, noticing the unique shapes, sizes, and architectural similarities. We live in a beautiful world, and it is important not to let the rush of time or the constant presence of technology cause you to miss out on the quiet miracles provided by God.
