For almost a decade, Cara Canington has worked at the PGA TOUR supporting various facets of the professional golf business. She has spent time working in Communications, Community & Social Impact, and most recently, Player Relations. As the first female Player Relations on-site representative, her role puts her in the middle of the action as she engages with players on course each week.  From competition related matters and tournament logistics to educating players on new programs and governance, Cara's role is constantly evolving as the game continues to grow worldwide. In addition to this role, Cara serves as one of the International Team managers for the prestigious Presidents Cup, a bi-annual event hosted by the PGA TOUR, and is also a member of the International Golf Federation Advisory Council which helps support Olympic golfers from all over the world.

Originally from Bel Air, Maryland, Cara played Division I lacrosse at the University of Florida, graduating with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sport management before starting at the PGA TOUR in 2014.  She coaches youth lacrosse to stay connected to the game and give back to the local community.

Cara splits her time between Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Chicago, IL where her and her partner, Allie, enjoy spending time with friends and family, attending Chicago sporting events and concerts, hiking and playing golf.
