I call him young Santa because he once had a belly and a beard and he is kind and generous. I'd let him guide my sleigh any night of the week. I've known Jason for at least 10 years. He owns his own business and lives with his wife and kids in Louisiana where he also grew up. He is an old friend, early subscriber and even hired Val to make him exercise programs and train him virtually. He flies a Biden 2020 flag in Trump Country and war a Fuck Trump t shirt to LOWES. He lived to tell the story on today's show.
Professor Christina Rodriguez is a Professor of Law at Yale Law School. Her fields of research include constitutional law and theory, immigration law and policy, administrative law and process, and citizenship theory. In recent years, her work has focused on constitutional structures and institutional design. She has used immigration law and related areas as vehicles through which to explore how the allocation of power (through federalism, the separation of powers, and the structure of the bureaucracy) shapes the management and resolution of legal and political conflict. Her work also has examined the effects of immigration on society and culture, as well as the legal and political strategies societies adopt to absorb immigrant populations. Her new book, The President and Immigration Law, coauthored with Adam Cox, will be published by Oxford University Press on September 1, 2020, and explores the long history of presidential control over immigration policy and its implications for the future of immigration law and the presidency itself. We spoke about immigration in general and then more specifically as it relates to her new book
Last but certainly not least I spoke to Historian Kenneth C. Davis about Fascism, The Post Office and the history of the political conventions. Please buy all of his books by going to dontknowmuch.com.
Kenneth C. Davis is the author of Don’t Know Much About® History, which spent 35 consecutive weeks on The New York Times bestseller list, and gave rise to the Don’t Know Much About® series of books and audios, which has a combined in-print total of some 4.7-million copies.
In June 2011, Don’t Know Much About® History: Anniversary Edition was released by HarperCollins. A newly revised, updated and expanded edition of the book that started the series thirty years ago, it now presents a complete survey of American history, from before the arrival of Columbus in 1492 right through the events of the past decade –from 9/11 through the election of Barack Obama and the first years of his administration. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller America’s Hidden History.
