Do you ever wonder how deep the roots of human trafficking reach into our communities? Today's urgent conversation with Alison Lucien, president of the Wesley Chapel Rotary Club, unveils the stark realities and what we're doing to turn the tide. We're unmasking the grim statistics and devious tactics of traffickers, spotlighting the appalling exploitation that hides in plain sight. Alison brings her passion for the 'Build that Home' initiative, a beacon of hope for sexually trafficked minor girls in need of a safe harbor and the promise of a fresh start.
Our discussion takes an inspiring turn as we share Bridging Freedom's expansion efforts to extend its reach and healing touch. Despite financial hurdles, our community has rallied to raise significant funds, and with continued support, we are on track to not only complete the current build but also to grow the facility's capacity. Hear how every nail, beam, and helping hand contributes to building more than just a house—it's about crafting a foundation for new beginnings. Join us in making a profound difference; your engagement has the power to change lives and restore the innocence stolen from these young souls.

“Child sex-trafficking is a horrific crime that robs the innocence of its victims and causes significant physical, mental and emotional trauma. In the United States each year, approximately 300,000 children – at the average age of 12 – are prostituted against their will, forced to provide sexual acts for an average of 15 men a night.”
“Victims have the best chance of recovery when provided long-term, individualized and interdisciplinary care in a secure environment. Sadly, there are less than five facilities nationwide that provide this type of care, able to serve a total of only approximately 100 victims at any given time.
At Bridging Freedom’s therapeutic safe home campus in the Tampa Bay area – the first of its kind in Florida – rescued children and teens receive long-term holistic care to help them heal.” - Bridging Freedom Website - www.bridgingfreedom.org
