I think, when you are beginner, it's better to take native Japanese teacher's lesson. Because Japanese pronunciation is unique so it' better to hear native Japanese teacher's pronunciation. If you became intermediate or advance student, you can study by yourself by using apps or podcasts.
I teacher Japanese online on italki. It's a great language platform, and there are about 400 Japanese teachers. Please check.
