Akari Talks Japan

新しいPodcastをupしました。父と息子で言葉の壁がある、というと日本に住む私たちにはあまりピンとこないかもしれません。今回インタビューした私のオンライン日本語レッスンの生徒さんで友人のAkiraさんはお父さんが京都出身の日本人で、お母さんがメキシコ出身。アメリカで育ち子どもの時に複数の言語を学ぶのは混乱するだろうと主に英語で教育を受けるました。お父さんはあまり英語が得意ではないこともあって、大人になってから父の母国語の日本語と、母の母国語のスペイン語を勉強し始めました。今回3ヶ月父のルーツである京都に滞在して感じたことや滞在中に起こった素敵な物語を教えてくれました。

Akira, my friend/ online Japanese student, who I interviewed this time, has a Japanese father from Kyoto and a mother from Mexico. He grew up in the United States and was educated mainly in English because they thought it would be confusing to learn multiple languages ​​as a child. His father is not very good at English, so he began studying his father's native language, Japanese, and his mother's native language, Spanish, as an adult. This time, he stayed in Kyoto, his father's roots, for three months and shared his thoughts with us, as well as some wonderful stories that happened during his stay.
